I Remember

I bring you another page which incorporates two challenges. I am seriously addicted to challenges atm!

First up is the ScrapFIT Workout #73, where you had to use the title 'I Remember'. The day I read about the challenge Chloe was getting into everything!! And I thought I Remember when you couldn't move, those were the days... So I snapped a few pictures and made this page:

The second challenge is a Kaisercraft Saturday Sketch August #4:

The page is made from almost all Kaiser products including:
Save the Date - Collectables
Miss Match - Bingo Cards
Konstuckt - 6" Paper Pad
Technologic - Keyboard Sticker Sheet
Timeless - Type Sticker Sheet
Mini Alpha - White & Choc
Oh and there are two PP Purple star buttons and twine.

Nice 2 meet You!

So considering Chloe just celebrated her first birthday, I thought I should get my butt in gear and finally scrap photos from her literal 'birth' day.
This page is about Chloe meeting her two grandmothers and great aunt still in the delivery room just hours after her birth.

I began the page using a sketch over on the Stuck?! blog which looks like this:

It ended up a little bit different to the sketch, but I think it is still there.

This page was made from only Bella Blvd products. I love there stuff, its all so fun! Most is from the first (and still only) paper pack I ever purchased, Bella Blvd Baby Girl. I have had it in my stash since I started scrapping but it collected dust because I was kinda scared to use it incase I ruined it. Silly I know.

Each photo spot is only attached by the hand stitching so that they can hinge open. I plan to ask each of the lovely ladies to write a little something about meeting Chloe for the first time and I'll put it under their respective photo.

I used some 'baby pink' paint and added some hearts plus a baby nappy pin, there were a lot more but the photos ended up covering them..
Still have many more pages of Chloes early life to do and I've already completed over 40 pages. This is going to be one very documented little girl.

Instant Happiness

Hello everyone.
After the worst week of my life, my bubba is finally on the mend and back to her cheeky self.
On the weekend Brenden and I took in turns having a bit of personal time out and predictably I made a scrapbook page during mine.

This page was inspired by a kaisercraft Saturday sketch.

And made entirely from kaisercraft products:
Chanteuse Collection - Vivo
Lil' Primrose Collection - Frock
Lil' Primrose Collection - High Tea
Flourish Pack - Flourish Hearts
Flourish Pack - Nappy Pins

LOVE

Hi there!
How are we all today? Unfortunately my beautiful bubba isn't the best. She had a fantastic birthday and weekend but picked up a really big bad bug! She isn't her bright bubbly self atm but still manages to smile every now and then!
Today I share a layout with lots of dimension (well for me at least)

For the inspiration of this page I must give credit to Sketchbook365 for a sketch on their blog, a bit for Stacey at PP who also used a PP button to anchor a twine banner to her page and the rest to the 'sweet like sugar' banner title I had in my stash.

To add to the banner look and lift the page a bit, I curled up the edges of the three banner bits and used foam adhesive on the photos. To try and make the photos stand out I matted them onto folded white paper and curled the tips of it too.

I took the opportunity from the white matted paper to hide my journalling under one of the photos (really hate my hand writing and the journalling was not super important)
In case you were curious, the main back paper actually began its life looking like this:

I loved the 'LOVE' but wanted to add some flowers around the bottom without covering it at all. Solution: fussy cut the letters out and throw them up the top instead.

I also matted the letters in the backing colour and used some glue dots to lift them ever-so-slightly.
Hope you like the page and hope my little princesses is back like that real soon!!

Picture Perfect!

Hey hi fellow scrappers!
Apologies for my lengthy absence, I have been working a bit lately (as in, income earning work) and just haven't had the time to drop by and say hi!
Today I bring you another bright and colourful layout which uses both a sketch challenge and recipe challenge.

The sketch challenge comes from the wonderful in-person shop scrapville and looks like the below;

While the recipe challenge is from the online embellishment store Purple Pumpkin and requires:

  • Paint - Yellow and pink
  • Use a Button - Yellow PP heart button
  • Add some twine - weaved into the boarder punch
  • Include some fussy cutting - the blue bird and little pink flower with leaves
  • Spray ink - green, blue and yellow (to colour the flower)
  • A flower - green PP resin flower
  • A doiley - pink top right corner
  • Use two different alphas for your title - tick.

  • Hope you like it and see you after all the craziness of Chloes first birthday is over!
    Nicole.
